Meet the team behind the Hidden Dragon concept as they tell you about how the lodge came to be. Take a tour around the chalet, check out the 6 luxury bedrooms all named after celestial mythical animals, have a sneak peek of the amazing mountain views and alpine scenery, and hear about the indulgent gastronomy and fine wines.
Listen while champion freerider, Alex Coudray, talks about why he rates Les 4 Vallées as the world's best place to ski ....and he should know having travelled the globe on the Freeride World Tour which took him to ski resorts as far a field as Alaska and Russia!
Les 4 Vallées is the largest ski domain in Switzerland. It is comprised of 9 interlinked ski stations covering a massive 412kms of pisted slopes. Combined with the incalculable local off-piste options which have received international acclaim, it is no wonder some argue that the 4 Valley region is one of the most challenging and diverse ski territories in Europe, if not the world.
Les 4 Vallées stretches from Les Masses in the East all the way to Verbier to the West, the most famous and most populated of all the 9 ski stations. An advanced skier can leave the Hidden Dragon Clubroom and be having lunch in Verbier within an hour and a half of departing and, in fact, can reach the top of the infamous Mont Fort glacier faster than his Verbier neighbours due to Veysonnaz's convenient location.
Many people overlook the Swiss Alps as a summer destination. Connoisseurs, however, recognise the beauty and diversity of the Alps in the non-winter months and often describe the mountains as being at their most breathtaking when they are verdant and lush. Autumn on the other hand is a technicolour of yellow, orange and red hues - quite different from the white winter wonderland most people envisage. Absoutely stunning in all seasons, it's a perfect holiday destination for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts at any time of year.
Hidden Dragon is a snow-covered magical wonderland in the winter and spring. The Four Valley ski region is suitable for people of all abilities and ages - there is truly something for everyone: board parks, world cup race pistes, freeride championships, numerous ski de fond trails, torchlight descents, and multiple opportunities for the snow-walker on raquettes to enjoy the alpine air.
Hidden Dragon is a beautiful destination for an assortment of outdoor Valaisan activities in the summer and autumn - yoga, meditation, golf, hiking, biking, rafting, paragliding, SUP, wake surf, canyoning, rock climbing, via ferrata, bungy jumping, sky diving, archery, tennis, wine-tasting to name just a few.
Hidden Dragon's location in the canton of Valais will delight sun lovers as the region boasts over 300 days of sun a year (allegedly more than the French Riviera!). Les 4 Vallées is set in a unique micro-climate offering summer visitors balmy temperatures of 25 - 35°C with a cooling alpine breeze - an ideal temperature for sunbathing and la dolce far niente! Set in 2 acres of its own private grounds, the Hidden Dragon chalet offers plenty of outdoor space to relax and unwind. Surrounded by dense forests, nature lovers will delight in the local deer, wild goats and other alpine animals playing near the lodge's terraces.
Off-piste skiers and riders can maximize the potential of the region by experiencing the legendary unmarked trails off the back of the Mont Fort summit. The backcountry options are incalculable and the reason why expert alpinistes return year after year in search of untracked snow. For those looking for even more adventure, heli-skiing or ski-touring are readily available.
Hidden Dragon is equipped with a huge yoga deck overlooking the Rhone Valley - a truly idyllic spot to stretch, tone and meditate to bird song and the gentle hum of cow bells. Combined with the many spa facilities, we hope to pamper our guests to perfection: hammam, sauna, hot tub, massage and beauty treatments are all on offer to ensure guests return home feeling rejuvenated and refreshed.

For those in search of a little culture, Switzerland's oldest town, Sion, is a mere 13kms away and offers historians exciting medieval tales set in the Valère and Tourbillon Hills, ancient chateaux, churches and museums. The Valaisans have a multitude of local traditions and festivals which take place throughout the spring and summer months: the famous Combat des Reines (a natural cow fight for their prized black Herens cows) is a memorable and enchanting experience and always served with the region's equally prized fendant wine and delicious raclette and grillade of saucisse de veau. From ancient hamlets, authentic alpine villages, and Roman towns like Martigny to the dazzling lake-side Montreux, made famous by the Jazz festival, those wishing to explore further than Veysonnaz have a truly diverse and rich region at their fingertips!
